02What DDI does

Six capabilities, one team

Each capability links to a DDI machine or a project DDI has published.

  1. 01

    Machine design and manufacture

Labelers, cappers, fillers and proofers designed and built in Envigado, configured to each customer’s product, container and output.

    Automatic labeler
  2. 02

    Control panels

Panels for machines or processes: Rittal enclosures, Rockwell or Siemens drives, soft starters, wiring to NEC.

  3. 03

    Plant automation and control systems

Control systems for complete process plants, from PLC and motor-control panels to plant-wide HMI screens.

    PQP Barranquilla
  4. 04

    SCADA and data-acquisition software

Supervision, operation and data-acquisition software, with HMI and SCADA screens built by DDI.

Supervision and data

Screens DDI has built

Plant supervision for ECO Green’s tire-recycling plant in China, the sulfonation plant SCADA for PQP in Bogotá, and the sulfuric-acid plant HMI for PQP in Barranquilla. On the DDI dough proofer, the control system stores batch temperature and humidity curves to USB or PC.

04Envigado

Designed, machined and wired in-house

Design, machining, fabrication and panel wiring happen in DDI’s Envigado workshop, where machines also run their functional tests.
